Can UrgiKids test for COVID-19?
Yes, we are able to test for COVID-19 active infection as well as antibody testing. If you believe that your child needs to be tested, they must first be evaluated through a telemedicine call with an UrgiKids provider. Following this virtual visit, you will be scheduled for a brief in-office nasal swab which will then be sent to an outside lab. Results typically will come back within 24 hours. We are following the CDC guidelines which are being updated frequently.
If you or your child is experiencing severe respiratory symptoms, please proceed to your local emergency department.
