Why choose Urgikids telemedicine?
Urgikids telemedicine offers CONVENIENCE + PEDIATRIC MEDICAL EXPERTISE. In this current healthcare setting with coronavirus, your child may be sick at home, but you are fearful of bringing them into a clinic. With telemedicine, your child can be examined, but never have to leave your home!
What are the hours?

How can I connect with a provider?
You can use your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Who will be answering my calls?
All of our providers are either physicians or nurse practitioners currently working at Urgikids. They all specialize in pediatrics and have years of experience treating children.
How long will it take?
You will not be waiting more than 10 minutes. If you find yourself waiting, give the clinic a call so that we can update you on timing. Feel free to schedule an appointment if that is easier!
What if I need a prescription?
If your child needs a prescription, the provider can call it in to the pharmacy of your choice.
What kinds of medical issues can a telemedicine visit help with?

- Injuries at home including sprains/strains, evaluation of lacerations to see if they need intervention
Is my visit secure?
Yes, the platform used for telemedicine is HIPAA complaint and secure.
What if I am seen on telemedicine and need to come in?
If you are seen on telemedicine and the provider thinks you need to come into our clinic, the telemedicine fee will be waived, and you will be charged for only an in-office visit billed to your insurance as usual. Occasionally, if you are seen on telemedicine, the decision may be made that your child’s medical needs require a visit to the Emergency Department. Your child’s health and safety always remain our top priority!
How will I be billed for my telemedicine visit?
In response to COVID-19, health insurances are changing policies for telemedicine coverage. Families with insurance coverage will pay $25 and charges will be submitted to your insurance company. Depending on how your insurance company covers telemedicine visits, you may be charged an additional amount. Your insurance carrier will make this determination. Your telemedicine visit out-of-pocket fee will NOT exceed $65 in total. Please call our clinic if you have any questions.
